Ramello
Pellicce, Italy. Design
in the Italian tradition, but unfortunately much of the site has been done
in Flash, so bring your microscope. If you come
for the pictures, they're stylish, romantic and also available in (just as
small, but more focused) jpegs. It's fun, but it could have been so much
better. New November 30 (October 24) 2000, update
posted January 26 2002 (September 14 2001).

The
Red Book.
Hey, I know this is not just a furrier, but I have to put it somewhere. Lots
of ideas, ambition, errors - and some nice pictures here; while the site
seems full of errors, it's also full of overcoming them. The product range
consists of blankets so far - nothing wrong with that, of course. One look
at the furrier listings won't just show that they're outdated (nothing new
here for regular readers of the Red Book), but also breathtakingly
inaccurate. I mean, getting an address wrong can happen to all of us, but
confusing entire countries ... But I wish the Red Book all the
best. New entry January 26 2002.

Pelz
Reinold, Germany,
Memmingen. A basic site with a few small pictures - you get a rather tame
impression of the collection, is it that's summer or are they into
low-profile furs? New entry August 26 (June 12) 2001. (Jaco)
- Reiss Fashions. Fashion company, slick looking site but
with animation plug-ins. In spite of this just one interesting picture. New
entry March 21 2000 (December 22 1999). (Lynx SSFF)
- Au Renard bleu. French furrier, French only site; some
interesting pictures with nice content. New
October 26 1999, update posted January 18 2001 (October 14 2000) (sta SSFF,
Serge).
- Revillon Co. (2) Two pictures and little else in a
fashion directory. We are still waiting for the definitive, giant humongous
killer site for the fur brand that started it all (not counting Paleolithic
cavemen). New March 20 2000 (August 18 1998). (Lynx SSFF)
- Richmond Hill furs. A page in a
Toronto shop directory, uninteresting unless you live in Toronto. New entry
May 4 1998.
- Rieger Pelze,
München, Germany.
Wonderful pictures and modern design. A real appetizer for this business; if
only you could see all their pictures properly!
New entry November 15 (September 23) 1999. (Lynx NTC), update posted October
27 (September 19) 2000. At least as good as the previous edition and so recognizable
I knew there was an update when I saw one of their (unnamed!) pictures.
- Rika's, USA, Big Delta State Historical
Park (Alaska). Still for a large part under construction. The part of the
stock that's online can be ordered, and there are some furs for men. New
entry March 18 2000. (Lynx SSFF)
- Pellicceria
Rindi, Italy. A handful of interesting catwalk
pictures from the '96 collection, but apart from that not much else. New
entry September 9 1999 (August 26 1997). A former Lynx link.
- Peletería
Del Rio. A front door page,
but at least you get an idea of what their shop and the goods look like. New
entry October 9 1998.
- Ritz
Furs. Still
under construction. I'm not sure if the falling leaves are a good idea, as
there has been some trouble caused by them reported. New entry October 12
(September 29) 2000. (Elli)
- Furs by Robert. Presumably not the
same as Roberts Furs (see below), although both sides are a bit vague about
their RL address. Furs by Robert sells online, and (nice) pictures and price
quotes of some of their coats are given on this carefully designed site. New
entry October 20 (8) 1999, update posted November 30 (August 30) 2000.
(Elli)
- Roberts Furs. Slow site, some pictures, and
text-as-graphics (bad idea). If this is a San
Francisco firm (it's amazing what people forget to tell on their websites)
and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm informed the firm has closed down, but
so far the - very small - website is still available. (New November 25 1997.)
(mm)
- Romagna Furs come
from San Marino, in case you wondered about the top domain ".sm".
A small site with professional design and stylish pictures. Definitely one
of mink lovers. New entry November 30 (June 21) 2000 (sta_uk)
- Rosenberg-Lehnhart. Not much to see, not much to read, even if
it's in two languages (German and English) with differing content (you'll
find the list of trade fairs on the German side rather more useful). New
entry November 9 (2) 1999 (FML), update posted December 9 1999 (some
pictures). (Michael).
- Georges Roy, Canada, Vieux-Lévis.
Intriguing little gallery. New June 27 (March 27) 2000. (Chris SSFF)
- Rucon by Anna Pucci. Mostly leather and shearling, but some nice
furry trims too. Slick design. At first I was alarmed by their announcement that they had a
woman skin collection, but the women are suppose to wear them, not grow
them. (Of course, the PETA suggestion of a farm of fur-bearing women would
be utterly repulsive and politically incorrect, and you haven't heard that
one here, right?) New entry November 9
(August 4) 1999, update posted May 29 2001 (November 24 2000). (Serge)
- Russian Fur, Moscow. A Russian furrier. Nice
design. (New April 24 1998.)
