- Pellicce Alviano,
Italy. A bilingual front door site. Note: the Italian and the English part
have difference pictures. New entry November 9 1999. (Lynx / NTC)
- American Legend. A no-frills, informative website, with some
nice pictures. Bad news: a clickable map that takes forever to download,
while there is no other way to navigate the site - a page one mistake in the
book of web design, and not something you would expect from AL.
- Pelz Beetz
aka HKJ GmbH aka Pelligo, Germany. This is
one confused company. In English they do import and export of furs, in
German they are tobacco wholesalers. They might be called Beetz, but they
could also be called HJK. Little wonder they forgot to include their
address, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in Germany. Not very ... er ...
gründlich though. I wonder what happens after closing time. Wrapping the
sales' lady in tobacco leaf could be kind of interesting, but I'd disapprove
about lighting a fox pelt after dinner. New September 11 1998. Update
November 30 (8) 2000.
- Center Furs - Skorditis,
Thessaloniki, Greece. A very small site with two nice pictures.
- Chinchillapel.
Spanish firm, does chinchilla, so no surprises. Some
small pictures. Info in Acrobat, without there being any good reason for it.
New entry May 29 (3) 2001. (STA)
- Classic Furs Inc. Wholesale. One grainy picture and a few
very small ones; has been `under construction' for ages. One of those sites
that pass by like ships in the night probably.
- Copenhagen Fur Centre. Text only site, fur skin auction
prices. New posting July 15 1999.
- Pedro Dagorret, Denmark. A shearling,
suede and leather wholesaler; front door page with small pictures. New entry
June 27 2000 (June 7 1996). (Lynx SSFF)
- Dalsbu. Fur farm on Iceland, front end page.
- Dermafur. Italy, Ponte di Mossano (VI).
Mainly lammy, reversed reversibles and cuffs, but I like the design. March
20 (January 22) 2000 (Lynx SSFF), update posted November 30 (8) 2000
- Dhany
Enterprises. Just
an 'Under Construction' banner. I just include this one in case they might
some day actually start constructing. So much for constructive criticism.
New posting July 15 1999.
- Engihlíð. A fur farm on Iceland.
- Expopel Furs, Castoria, Greece. A handful of
pictures, some of them known for Folio, but this time you can see them at a
proper size. Nice modern design too. New entry November 15 (March
9) 1999, update posted October 27 (June 28) 2000. (Serge)
- Great Greenland. A
crisp, fresh website, with pictures and design that match it very stylish
product. For all I know, seal fur is banned in the USA, but you might be so
happy to live elsewhere. (Like the majority of the world population.) New
entry October 13 1999.
- Groenewold,
USA.
Pelts and dressed furs (which is, stretches of leather-lined fur, ready for
use in garments). New November 30 (13) 2000. (Elli)
-
Hong Kong Fur Factory.
One of the nicer
sites from this part of the industry. Beautiful pictures. New entry September
11 2001. (Elli)
- Héraðsdalur Fur Farm. A fur farm on Iceland. Back on new
address.
- Hrisar Fur Farm. A fur farm on Iceland.
- Jakob's Fine Furs. A fur farm on Iceland. Back on new
address.
-
Jobis, Germany,
Bielefeld. Fur fashion trade. Nice view of their collection. New entry August
23 2001 (November 5 2000). (Jaco)
- Fur Farm Krókar. A fui farm on Iceland.
- Kallisthenis, Germany. I like their design. However,
even considered that this site is supposed to be trade-only, it's rather
uninspiring. New entry June 22 (21) 2000.
- Odsmýri Fur Farm. Icelandic fur farm.
- Ofra Pelze. Germany,
Frankfurt am Main. Ofra Pelze (a.k.a. Ofra Rauchware) sells skins. To me the
pictures look too crude and too small to get a good idea of the wares, and
worse, somehow I get the impression that these are in face retouched black
and white white pictures. But at any rate, it's better than nothing. New
June 22 (May 4) 2000.
- Panda, Poland. Slow server,
small but glamorous pictures on their 'futra' page. Might be a designer or a
wholesale business, but unfortunately the site is Polish only. New entry
June 27 (April 27) 2000.
- Pelicon, Milan. Frontdoor site of a wholesale
company, three pictures. New posting September 9 (November 1 1998) 1999.
- Pozzi Group. Wholesaler. Nothing much wrong, but not much to be excited
about either. Ignore the confusing texts with the links and go to the Anna
Kel collection - it's this collection which has some fur, not Pozzi Pelle.
New June 27 (March 7) 2000. (Lynx SSFF)
- Saedel und Paetow. A German wholesale company,
offering skins and also some coats (look for the Pelzkonfektion to see a few
stylish pictures of their black mink - at long last someone manages to make
a decent picture of black fur!). New March 27 1999.
- Saga of Scandinavia. No introduction needed.
Try their wonderful picture
archive. Update posted October 27 2000 (Picture archive).
- Sebbas, Finland. Five stylish pictures in the
1999-2000 collection. New entry June 22 2000 (December 12 1999). (Elli)
- Three Lions. Fur
import from Russia. Nice pictures on the front page; pictures of their shops
elsewhere on the site. New entry January 4 2000 (before December 11 1999).
(Elli)
-
Zeda Collection,
Greece, Thessaloniki. Site still under construction, but their mixed fur and
leather creations (think, big, big collars and trims) makes one really curious
what would happen if they'd put an all fur collection online. The thumbs get
enlarged by clicking on the plus-sign, not by clicking on the picture itself.
This just in case you missed that. New entry August 26 2001 (October 11 2000).
